Hello all! Not quite sure if this is where this topic should go... but eh, close enough!

So, the "At Ease" posed DKoK were by far my favorite version of the DKoK infantry, it was really nice to have a model that isn't locked in eternal battle. Figures, the second that I am in a position to start buying them they disappear from Forge World's site...

So, trying to feed my little bit of hope, how often does Forge World bring back discontinued models (if ever)?

...and one more note while I am here, is it just me or are Forge World resin kits way more fragile than plastic? (Got a squad off ebay, they're made of a brittle white resin/plastic, not sure if I accidentally picked up recasts)

You say Fiery Crash! I say Dynamic Entry!

Not very often.

And yes, they're more fragile, but it sounds like you did get recasts. FW uses a gray resin that's less brittle.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Aight... that makes me feel mildly better. When I started assembling them and certain parts started crumble I got worried (didn't know they were recasts at the time, but I was suspicious)

Yeah, sounds like recasts (white resin).

That said, most polyurethane resins (what FW use, too) are white when mixed.

tints are added to change the colour - and FW have done several different shades of "grey" over the years.
(as many shades of grey as GW have had sprue greys).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

FW doesn't have a specific colour to their resin. I have been buying and painting their kits since the first Mars Baneblade came out and I have seen a tonne of colour variations on their resin, even yellow-ish resin (and I bought this direct from them at Games Day).

The FW infantry are notoriously fiddly and breakable. I ended up selling off my Entire Elysian army because I hated working with resin. My old Tallarn metal models make life a lot easier, lol.

I know they had stopped the run on Soloman Lok a while back but then brought him back because of popular demand. So they do sometimes bring kits back that have been ended. I look back some of my old FW catalogues and wish they would bring a lot of things back. If I could pick one thing to bring back it would be the trench system that they had. Like the OP, I had wanted to buy a bunch for a while and when I was finally in a position to buy they had pulled them from the stores.

From other threads it seems they're pretty responsive to questions, you could try asking directly.

From what I've heard resin molds wear out pretty quickly so they might just be gone for a few months. The Death Korps seems pretty popular.
