I'm putting together a custom Blood Bowl pitch out of a series of 32mmx32mm 3mm thick MDF squares (with a gap between each tile), and I'd like them to appear like stone slabs/tiles. I was thinking of engraving random cracks in some of the tiles, laying down a coat of one of the Vallejo textured paints, and spray dark grey & dry brush, but if anyone has a better idea I'd be grateful!

I used this tutorial to do the base for my Gulliman and found it pretty straightforward and very effective.
