Hi Guys

Im a serious newbie when it comes to airbrushing and i currently use Citadel paints exclusively, Im having an issue with them not having the dripper top i feel like im wasting about half the paint.

I have access to the citadel and the army painter stuff at my FLGS i was just wondering if the army painter stuff is better to use as an airbrush paint.

Shot for any help

Ub

Are you using Citadel Air?
About Army Painter, you can use almost any acrylic with airbrush using Vallejo Airbrush Flow Improver.

I do not have dropper bottles on half of my paints. I just drop drops of paint using old brush.

You can get empty dropper bottles. Alternatively, get an eye dropper (preferably glass, easier to clean, and clean IMMEDIATELY after use) to transfer paint.

Why are you wasting paint at the moment? I just use an old brush to transfer paint from pots to my airbrush which I also use to stir the paint and thinner together in the paint cup. Once it's mixed I smoosh the brush against the side of the paint cup to squeeze out the excess.

It wastes a bit of paint I guess, but it's really bugger all paint wasted compared to the amount that actually goes through the brush, probably less than you'll waste trying to transfer them to dropper bottles

Eye droppers can actually be quite wasteful if you use them for paint transfer because the paint doesn't just magically transfer 100% from the dropper to your airbrush, lots just gets left inside the dropper.

I use eye droppers, but only for thinners and cleaners, not the paint itself.

I'm a huge GW fanboy, but their airbrush paints are too much trouble for me. The bottle-pot issue as noted, but also they are darn near impossible to clean.

Vallejo paints (Model, Game, or Air) all go in the airbrush easily and clean up easily (even with a cheap mix of isopropyl / water).

I feel like droppers waste paint you can't get out, just fill your airbrush pot with appropriate amount of flow improver then stir in a few drops of paint and spray away
