I know the recent FAQ said that you cannot equip a DW Veteran with a DW Shotgun and a Boltgun. Does this extend to combi-bolters and other choices from the Ranged Weapons list? I'm asking because the Imperial Agents FAQ doesn't have the same line in it and that codex also doesn't have the option to take a free Bolter on the Ranged Weapon List for DW Veterans.

Yes and no. In my opinion there is absolutely no rule reason to disallow the bolter/shotgun combo and to my the FAQ is just ignoring the rules to ban that specific option.

Personally I would say you can take combi weapons if you want and then take a shotgun as there was no specific mention that you cant do that. THe reason I think you need a specific mention is that there was no rule reason given for the ban on shotgun/bolter.
