I want to play a Death Korps army, but I don't want to spend that much money. I was wondering if I could use Steel legion models (With a small but of conversion) as Death Korps.

The funny thing is, if you look at the old metal ones, the tab that slots into the base says Krieg.

I haven't double checked the math lately but the metal guys I think are more expensive than the resin dudes.

Edit NVM i checked lol and they are much cheaper now for the Steel Legion!

And, if you want some options for things like veterans and heavy weapons, Mad Robot Miniatures' Shocktroopers are incredibly close to the look for Steel Legion.

The original Death Korps were just re-painted steel legion/a pic with slight mods, and eventually some minor rules changes, so, yeah, it'd take a real complainer to give you gak about that IMHO.
