La.

Has anyone built any really big and or tall COD buildings? I know that it would have to be horribly expensive but I'm sure someone has done it!

All skill is in vain when an angel comes down and pisses in the flintlock of your musket.

…And if you mean heretic due to the fact that I detest your rotted, pathetic, corpse of an emperor, then yes, I guess that I qualify there also…

Really tall buildings? I'm trying to work on making a more 40K urban style board. Its going to be a while but I can post what I work on

Do you want buildings that models can move into, or basic sight-blocking stuff?

4Ground makes gigantic gothic city buildings - but they're a "facade" line so that you can use balconies etc. but no interiors (unless you build them yourself). By gigantic, I mean...some stand around 25-35" tall I believe.

None of them would look out of place on an Imperial world. I've shown a few below:

They're prepainted MDF and cost a good bit (you're getting a Warlord Titan worth of material for some of these kits).

For larger buildings with interiors and useable space you'll definitely be looking at scratch-building using foam core.

4grounds really does make some of the best stuff out there. One of my buddies has a table for Infinity and I was super jealous and wanted to copy him, until I learned how much he paid for it all haha.

Foam board can work, but you have to be Uber precise with measuring and cutting, and details can get pricy fast, but it's cheap as dirt to get started, so you can save your spare kidney for more miniatures
