The 4 main sentient and organic races of the Milky Way contribute to the powers of the Big 4 Chaos Gods.

What about the Tyranids? Could they have something similar?

It doesn't seem like the Tyranids do anything for the Big 4, so, do you think they could have their own god?

Don't say Hive Mind or Shadow in the Warp, you should realize that what I'm referring to is distinct from those two concepts.

EDIT: Changed "do" to "could", added "think".

Also, if there is such a Warp god, its colour would be yellow! This would complete the rainbow of colours with the Big 4.

I know you don't want to reference the Hive Mind or Shadow in the Warp, but....I have to.
Nids do not have the same kind of sentience that the inhabitants of our galaxy have. Think of it like a frequency.
If the Warp is FM radio with Po and Rock-n-Roll, then the SitW is like AM radio with just a mass of mindless chatter

The Hive Mind is the "god" of the SitW, even though that analogy falls short an accurate description. The powers of both realms are incompatible and thus Nids could never create any entity within the Warp, in the same way that Eldar or Orks could not create an entity in the SitW.

Do your cells have a god? Do the worms in your gut pray to the life giving intestine? Do your muscles receive divine revelation from the nerves? Does the brain fancy itself as lord over all that is you?

Tyranids are not conscious the same way that we are and as such most likely do not have a concept of God.

Do you believe you are anything more than a cell within the greater being that is Tzeentch? Are you so certain of your agency and superiority over the Tyranids that you believe you aren't simply a cog within a much, much larger conscious entity?

Right Ynneadwraith. Put the spliff down. No-one wants to hear you rambling about the Imperium being Nurgle's liver

In all seriousness, the others are right. The Tyranids are very...different...from any other faction in the galaxy. Even the Necrons were once relatively similar to humans and eldar, and originated within our galaxy. We don't even know where the Tyranids have come from.

The Tyranids have a presence in the warp, which is sort of a static of billions of chattering, chittering alien minds. The name that humans have given that presence is 'the shadow in the warp'. For the Tyranids, that's just a phenomenon.

Now, whether the Hive Mind exists as an entity in the warp born from this constant chattering, is rooted in some realspace mechanism, or is something else entirely we don't know. We can guess it has some connection to the warp as I believe Tigurius has been able to catch glimpses of its next moves by peering at it through the warp, but TBH i've always thought that story was a little stretching of my suspension of disbelief.

Your explanation is too speculative, even for this question I believe. However, I've changed "do" to "could" and added "think" to create a more valid question.
"Do" is impossible to answer since that requires a yes/no from GW. "Could" is more valid.

You have to admit that I do ask all the interesting questions.

I sometimes wonder whether the people answering such questions with such conviction knew the answer before reading my question.

Tyranids are not just mere cells and do have some form of consciousness, however rudimentary like animal consciousnesses.

Also, Norn-Queens, Lictors, Genestealers, Swarmlords and Zoanthropes have all been described as possessing relatively high levels of intelligence.

But, the Hive Mind is the union of Tyranid minds through the Warp. Human psykers can achieve this somewhat, but only Tyranids do it en-masse.

As I've mentioned earlier, I changed "do" to "could", since "do" requires an answer from GW themselves.

The Tyranids main drive is hunger, which is apart from the hope, despair, rage and lust that drive the Big 4.

So, my idea is that, maybe, the Tyranids make their own god in the warp, just like the other four races.

There is a difference between high intelligence and be sentient.

As example Octopus are quite intelligent they can learn how to open jars, operate some basic levers and such (and remember how) in order to get their reward/food also other predator creatures can be quite clever to *hunt* their prey

But since Gods/Daemons work in a soul/sentience lvl you need that sentience to give or get a greater purpouse and develop that kind of beings (daemons/gods) in the warp.

Maybe Norm Queen or whatever bigger than those are out there can be capable of such feats, and be able to manifest such things within the core of the Whole hive fleets, but so far it's still a mistery.

Actually, AM radio is a good one to illustrate how the shadow in the warp works. AM receivers are ALSO transmitters, and bigger receivers will rebroadcast what they receive to any smaller radios in a certain radius of distance.

Way back in the days before FM radio (for us in the antipodean colonies, this was pre-1981), I remember going to the beach with friends. One of us had a small transistor radio for listening to toons while we chilled. Paperback book sized, internal antenna. Much like the imperials and the signals of their astronomican through the warp.

A group of yobs with a much LARGER radio sat down near us (what would later be called a "boom box"), with an extendable antenna (vastly increasing both the signal it could grab, as well as its leakage), listening to the cricket or something. As soon as they got too close, OUR radio started echoing their received station. Didn't matter what we changed it to, the signal interference just swamped anything ours could get.
Like what the Hive mind does. It's just psychic noise that swamps everything in a given area.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

What a perfect analogy

Also, who looks at a Boombox in a shop window and thinks 'I've always wanted to listen to the cricket really loud'?

Hehe see, crim-town's too far away for them to do anything about it

Of course, they trade that for better weather, better wages, muscle cars, coral reefs and unique native gribblies.

Really we're just jealous...

The Hive Mind is the Tyranid equivalent of a god of the warp, there's really not much else to say IMO. Not all entities have to follow the exact same rules; the corrupted Warp is referred to as "Chaos" after all.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.
