Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone could clarify this for me please. I am under the impression that if I have a Necron Destroyer Lord attached to a unit of Lychguard who have a Night Scythe as a dedicated transport - that the Destroyer Lord is also able to travel in it?

Technically his profile is infantry, but I don't know if the "Jet" portion exempts him.

Also some generic ones:

If using the beam weapon for the Sentry Pylon, does the end point of the beam (designated before the roll) need to also be within LOS?
If using a Veil of darkness on a character who is attached to a squad that does not have the Deep Strike rule - can the squad still deep strike with him or would he detach as part of the process?

Any assistance much appreciated

I'm pretty sure Jet Pack Infantry can't embark on vehicles.

Yes, the Jet pack part of his profile does block him from starting in the Night Scythe. The most recent FAQ only allows Triarch Praetorians as an exception to the normal rule of no Jet/Jump in flyers. With him attached the Night scythe will be empty in reserve.

A way of playing the Focused Death Ray following standard rules for 7th edition weapons in the shooting phase would be yes, you need to have LOS to both points and any "wounds" outside of the 24" range of the weapon would be lost if no more model(s) are still within that range and in LOS. This is of course, just one interpretation of the rules and not official.

Your Veil of Darkness question has two answers depending on when you are doing the Deep Strikeing:

A. At the start of the game, during deployment, if the rest of the unit does not have Deep strike, they can not be placed into Deep Strike Reserves at all.

B. While on the table during your Movement phase, the Veil of Darkness bring along the whole unit, regardless if they have deep strike or not, when they are removed from the table and placed back down following the rules for Deep Strike (normal scatter, no assaulting, can run if they don't shoot etc).
