After seeing the model at the top of this pagehttps://theepiclounge.wordpress.com/armies-of-the-imperium/death-korps-of-krieg/ I wanted the rules for it. There weren't any so I decided to make them up.

DKoK Zeppelin BS Front Side Rear HP
Composition: 1 Zeppelin 3 10 12 10 9
Unit Type: Superheavy Flyer
Special Rules:
Ponderous - May only move 20cm and change its facing by 90 degrees per turn.
Airborne fortress- All weapons have Skyfire-Interceptor
Quick reload - May launch 4 bombs per bombing run.
Heavily armoured keel - when attacked by non - flyers it may ignore the damage result from a glancing or penentrating hit on a 4 plus.

Wargear:
2 Vulcan mega bolters
8 Vanquisher battle cannons
8 Twin linked assault cannons
4 Turrent mounted battle cannons
42 Heavy bombs

Options:
May replace any two heavy bombs with an inferno bomb.(Only two may be dropped per bombing run.

I haven't included points as I have no idea what it would be and I don't really expect this to ever be used anyway.

The firepower well exceeds the durability. With 10 front armor and 9 Hull Points, it will only take around 21 Flakk shots (S7 AP4) to bring it down. Two Dakkajets calling a WAAAGH! will kill it. Any army with a decent amount of AA will kill it very easily.

On the other hand, it has enough firepower to singelhandedly kill a couple thousand points of models in a single turn.

There are glass cannons, but this is more like an antique pottery nuke.

So, a couple obvious issues stand out:

Skyfire + interceptor no longer lets you fire at ground targets at full BS, so you've created an AA platform that can't fire at ground targets and literally can not fire its battle cannons at all. You'd need to replace this with Tau-style "at the beginning of its shooting you may choose to give any of its weapons skyfire until the beginning of your next turn". Or, more appropriately, give some of the guns (the assault cannons make sense as defensive AA weapons) permanent skyfire, not the entire unit.

Having 42 bombs at four per turn makes no sense, you'd need 11 turns to drop them all even under perfect circumstances.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

@Peregrine, he could just drop that entirely. Fliers already get to choose whether or not to have Skyfire automatically.

So ,to summarise:
.Armour-structure points need to be upgraded
.Firepower needs to be downgraded
.Skyfire - interceptor rule needs to be dropped

So hull points could be raised to fifteen the armor on all sides could be raised by 2 points.

The Vulcan mega-bolters could be replaced by kheres assault cannons and the turrent mounted battle cannons with twin linked auto-cannons. The no. of heavy bombs would drop to 24. The Vanquishers should probablly be swapped out aswell but I'm not sure with what .
(and the Skyfire rule dropped)

Would any of this help?

You know, Structure Points aren't a thing any more.

Also 40k works in inches.

Also also, why are the sides better armored than the front?

In the picture the tip of the craft is unarmoured ,also as the craft is much longer than it is wide (hence most of the weapons only firing to the side) so it makes sense that the part that's easier to hit is better armoured .
