We all know that the loyalist force was massive during the Siege of Terra. We all know about the Imperial Fists, Blood Angels and White Scars were obviously involved, and 40k wiki pages indicate there were three Titan Legions and even a handful of Imperial Knights were involved (as well as something mental like one and a half million mortal guardsmen).

So does anyone know which Titan Legions were involved (Apparently the Legio Ignatum were one, but does anyone know the others?) or if any Knight Houses were involved? Any information is greatly appreciated, thanks lads.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

1.5 million is not mental for battle of that scale.

That's the size of a ww2 battle on eastern front. The Allied armies where larger.

150 million plus.. Now that's more a interplantery defence.

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

1.5 million is incredibly pathetic for the Siege of Terra considering that the Drop Site Massacre involved something like a million astartes (8 traitor legions + 3 loyal ones), and that billions often die as consequences of these battles. They seriously need to bump the numbers for auxilliary forces. It's really annoying reading about battles involving several full astartes legions, then seeing the footnote for "1.5 million Imperial Army troops." On Terra of all places.

The Battle of Armatura (from Betrayer) does better, as apparently it involved a billion auxilliaries on the Ultramarines side (though that seems excessive, that number would be better suited for Terra).

I think you'll have to wait for the FW book to get exact numbers or info on Titan Legions and Knight Houses. Plus it'll likely retcon anything that comes before. On the plus side, those books really get into the details and will likely have lavish depictions of the troops involved.

And the Angels of Darkness descended on pinions of fire and light... the great and terrible dark angels.
He was not the golden lord. The Emperor will carry us to the stars, but never beyond them. My dreams will be lies, if a golden lord does not rise.

I look to the stars now, with the old scrolls burning runes across my memory. And I see my own hands as I write these words. Erebus and Kor Phaeron speak the truth.

My hands. They, too, are golden.
