Here is a challenge for you all, what would be the cheapest 1,5k battle forged army possible.

Rules:
- Only non discounted prices, rule books and accessories do not count its models only.
- 100% WYSIWYG.
- No additional part traders, or sculpting needed all have to be bought directly from GW or FW.
- Disregard shipping cost, because this would be variable depending on the country.
- All prices have to be calculated in pounds, to prevent misunderstandings.
- no limits on the amount of detachments, fortifications or LOW.
- you list can't be under 1490 points and you will have to come as close to 1,5k as possible within the limits of the available rules.

I can stretch a BaC box out to about 1,400 points. That’s 90? pounds. Just need a budget 100 points to stretch it out (that’s not a HQ) 20 for a 3-bike box (load with spare melta) should do it. That 110 for the army.

Surely if betrayal at calth gets you to 1400, Burning of prospero will stretch to 1500. I don't have the chaos books to do the math but maybe somebody who does could do the math.

I rejiggered my BaC list a bit, it can get over 1,500 buy itself.

Should be 1555 points. Could go a bit higher if we move all the MLs to a dev squad, and take some meltas to replace them in the tacs. But that’s just going to add a handful of points. Teleport homers and melta bombs and the like will also boost it up a bit. But as we are already past the point requirement, I think it’s safe to stop.

Wouldn't Deathwatch with the Overkill and Death Masque boxes, be easy enough to make a 1.5k force on budget?

I don't think you are going to find anything cheaper then the Tetrad. Daemon princes are already the cheapest or at least one of the cheapest per point models in the game. Then the Tetrad lets you take just them with no tax. Even the boxed sets like death masque, death watch, and betrayal at calth are more expensive then 4 princes.

My heresy army was pretty cheap. Just a BaC, 2 drop pods and an extra terminator (£10). But I did have to go through bitzbox.
