Asking for a clarification on something.

In my Necron codex it says with most my HQ''s that i can "Take items from the technoarcana or weapons lists." But how do i know how many I can take, how do i know how many points each item is. I go to those lists and all it does is say what they are/do. Nothing about their point value etc.

You're probably looking at what the weapons actually do, which is at the opposite end of where you want to be looking. On the page before the first unit profile (probably some Necron Lord) you will have a list of all weapons you can take and the appropriate points values.

It's not Herp-Derp on you. GWs codex layout is a mess. The fact that there is no meaningful table of contents or index only makes it worse. Learn to book GW.
