There is something great about seeing titans in plastic, so glad they decided to go the extra mile and avoid resin, means I will be buying a starter set or two! The amount of detail they have squeezed into the models is incredible, the cute little Knights are a work of art.

Yeah you don't make a game called Titanicus without planning at some point to produce the biggest warmachines produced by the imperium....
That being said though I appreciate them not making wild promises and saying that basically everything you could imagine is in the pipeline at some point. Even if the game is massively successful, the other specialist games have shown us that anything major like an Imperator would be a couple of years down the line at the absolute minimum.
I'd love to see some new versions of knights and titans that we haven't seen before as well! Given the scale even if they are in resin they "shouldn't" be too prohibitively expensive.
Also looking forward to some of the inevitable kits that come out of Shapeways, they are usually a good source for obscure conversion kits that FW would never have the time to produce.

Well $350 is definitely too much for me, I get why it is priced that high though, they are without question some of the best looking and complex models GW have put out so far. I bet seeing the set in person would make it seem better value anyway, two knight sized models, 6 smaller "troops", and some terrain isn't that bad imho.
Honestly if they had packaged it with one less Warlord and cut the price by $100 I bet everyone would be jumping over it and probably buying two sets.
Individually the prices seem to make a bit more sense so I can see myself gradually building up a force over a few years. Chances are there will be some better deals including Warhounds and Reavers in the future which I am most interested in anyway

The Warhound looks great, still amazed how they have lost none of the detail from the 40K models especially when you learn that Chris has to measure every bit of the Reaver and Warhound to input into CAD.
Nice to hear that they already have releases planned for the next few months and other stuff in the works.
I will definitely be waiting for 6 months after the initial release to see what kind of boxed sets they come out with in addition to the GM edition. I'm sure a "booster pack" of sorts will come out with a reaver and couple of warhounds will show up and that would be perfect for me!

Okay, you get a lot more terrain than I previously thought with the GM set, enough to populate a good sized board by the looks of it!
If I were to get the terrain however, the first thing I would do would be to make some more interesting roofs with plasticard, some spires and antennae would really help to stop making it all look so boxy (though I bet it means all the terrain is very easy to rearrange). An all grey paint scheme isn't helping them either. Lots of potential anyway!

Not that I think that it would fit with the current aesthetic but there was a Star Wars walker on three legs that was pretty cool. I guess it folds the middle one away when walking but serves as a stabilizer when it is firing...

The new knights are plastic correct? They look awesome but FW resin is just too stupid expensive now.
I love the subtle design changes on the Warlord, the new head variant is my favourite so far and the extra bits on the shoulders are a nice touch as well.
I am still holding out buying any kits as I expect a big bundled deal to come along in the next year or two but I expect that this will become my preferred game system at some point!

While they may not be an exact match for the weapons, Dreamforge do have some great looking plastic arms such as gattling guns, fists, and meltas that would be great on a warlord. https://dreamforge-games.com/collections/all They also have two sizes of walkers that would be great additions to the game. I measured my 15mm one and it is 13cm tall which I think is the same size as a reaver. The 28mm version is taller than a warlord though so might not fit in quite as well. They also look incredible!

No weapon options for the Questoris knights makes sense though. They are either going to be fielded as lancers or shooty knights and I'd rather pay a lower price and pick between this kit or another one that I guess we will be seeing in the future. Sure it would be nice to have all the options in one kit but I would not be happy if it ended up costing the same amount as the Warhounds for example...
I for one am just happy that Titanicus is getting a bunch of support, bring on the Porphyrion next!

The proportions look a lot better now we have a 360 view, it looks great! Interesting to know that it is a little smaller than a Warlord, I just assumed that it was a conversion kit.

That's great news about the success of the game. A larger specialist games studio can only mean good things!
Surprised bfg was already being discussed at all. I figured it would still be about four years away but it seems like it could be coming quite a bit sooner if Titanicus keeps raking in money.
Resin weapons does seem a little bit of a shame but I would rather they focus on getting new models made anyway

I feel like that terrain would be much more appealing to buy if it was not fixed to a resin board. Selling individual buildings would be both cheaper and more modular.
A sprue of destroyed tanks and ships would also be great for basing and sprinkling around a board!

Hmm the scale for the Eldar plastic walkers would actually be almost perfect for titans at this scale. War walkers could also be converted into something cool I bet!

I wonder how much new stuff we will see for Titanicus this year? It has clearly been a big hit but given the long lead times for plastic kits it could be a while before we see a good chunk of new models.
Necromunda got 4 plastic kits in 2018 correct? If Titanicus goes the same route I bet we will see the new Reaver, a new Warhound (perhaps the lucius variant), another knight, and then a brand new titan model. That would work out to around 4-6 new sprues which seems like a doable amount of new stuff without going too overboard.
Re. terrain, I think GW should make something along the same lines as the Maelstrom's Edge terrain kit, lots of detailed plastic strips that can be fixed to whatever interesting objects you have around the house. The current terrain is nice but you would need piles of the stuff to make a decent sized city...

I feel like these guys just got brushed over in favour of arguing about knight weapons but they look awesome! Glad they decided to make the most badass knight available in plastic, it will definitely be getting added to my collection at some point.
Happy to see the return of Aeronautica Imperialis, I never got the chance to grab any of the models and if they get a plastic release this time round I will be all over it. Hopefully it is not just imperial vs imperial though, if GW are smart they will copy the success of X-Wing and have at least two factions from the get go.

Not sure if it has been posted here yet or not but there is a kickstarter for Titanicus-scale terrain in its final couple of weeks. Some very nice looking hard plastic kits and great value STL sets if you have a 3D printer as well.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/smallscaleterrain2/smallscale-plastic-terrain-kits-2/description
On a somewhat related question, was it ever confirmed that the Aeronautica Imperialis reboot would be in a similar scale to Titanicus? It would be nice if my current terrain worked for a couple of different games after all!

I like the little terrain bits. I know that I would be complaining that they didn't release them seperately given that they already went to the trouble of designing them for the big tiles (which look amazing btw). We could do with a lot more stuff like this to break up the boxy nature of titanicus terrain and add a little more life to the boards. Hopefully they finally release that train at some point along with a monorail system as that would look awesome.

Oh wow that is a great looking conversion, made by a GW staffer? If so I'd love to see them post some more pics of it and show how it was built. Now I just have to decided if I can rationalize buying $310 worth of kits to build that beasty myself...

Given that the knight set without the missile launchers and power fists is sold out on the webstore I am guessing that we will be getting the upgrade sprue and the older box is being phased out entirely.
Either that or GW are throwing in the last of their stock into the bundle to get rid of them...

There will be new Adeptus Titanicus stuff coming out soon - check the community website in a couple of weeks.
They will be going Warhound size Ursus Claws. Now they have all the core weapons they will be able to make the more esoteric stuff. While chatting they dropped serious hints about a book covering the shadow crusade in Ultramar and the legions involved.
Bring on the weird weapons and titans! Please don't just be FW stuff though, I can't justify $40 for two guns, fortunately I have an extensive bits box to make most of their current stuff myself.
In other news I discovered that you can make a passable model for the Knight Valiant using the Questoris and Cerastus kits seeing as I doubt we will be seeing an official model for it any time soon...

Yeah I'd have to say 10 years is a good guess at this point. Given the upcoming expansion of the specialist studios and the great sales though we could see the first stuff in maybe 5 or 6 years once all the titans, knights, and Chaosy bits have made their appearence. I am happy just buying proxy models from places like Vanguard until that time comes though!

The new Warbringer and terrain are awesome as with every release so far. Really looking forward to building a huge terrain board with this stuff.
I am wondering if it would be more practical to wait until FW inevitably releases an alternate weapon for the Warbringer and then use the spare quake cannon for a massive ground emplacement...
