My buddy and I are thinking about getting into 30k but I want to play SA and he's thinking a Space Marine Legion. Would that work if we were our only opponents? We want balanced games. Thanks!

Have you ever wanted a Vindicator that can carry Troops?

SA are incredibly strong and can hold their own against Legion. Their play style is also incredibly fluffy. I say do it!

Solar Auxilia plays differently from the Legions, but the list is made to tear them a new one something fierce and not an afterthought.

They may not have Rites of War or Primarchs, but they do get some of the better rules built in, like overwatching on BS2, holding hands for +1 WS and well, being able under the right circumstances to field more tanks than the enemy.

And yes, the Dracosan is a filthy Rhino-Vindicator hybrid on steroids.

you can both play legion and have unballanced games...one guy brings gak load of tacticals and power armor, other one brings 12 phosphex batteries and typhoon to 2k game.

It all depends do you make power armys or friendly ones.
