As a relatively new player and a magic player I wanted to make sure I understood the rules, but their was one interpretation of the rules that I made that caused my friends to disagree with the way i interpreted them.
Can you target Allies of Convenience with Witchfire. Now the question is why would you want to basically shoot your ally, 1st because sometimes they deserve it 2nd I just got Genstealers and they have an ability called Mind Control.
it is a focused witchfire which basically states target non vehicle unit within 24" not locked in combat makes an immeadiate shooting attack, it cannot make an attack that would hurt itself or the unit it is in etc.
And when I read the specifics on what Allies of Convenience said on how allies are treated for Psyker abilities i got curious
The rules that would apply under AoC
1. Are affected by attacks, special rules or abilities used by Allies of Convenience that affect ‘enemy’ units within a certain range or area of effect.
2. Are not counted as being friendly units for the targeting of psychic powers, abilities.
So they are not counted as friendly units, and they are affected by attacks that would affect enemy units that would be within a certain range.
While it says not friendly doesn't mean enemy, but you can shoot at destructible terrain, and witchfire is counted as a psyker shooting attack basically.
So tell me why i couldn't just grab like 3-5 Magus roll decently well and have certain units take multiple shooting actions during the Psyker phase because of it.
