How do you equip your tartaros termis? I am trying to figure out my loadout, and I am debating between 10 5 with dual lightning claws, 3 chainfists, 2 powerfists, 5 combiplasma and 10 5 with claws, 3 chain fists, 2 powerfists 10 combiplasma. But, I would love some suggestions and need opinions lol

I have no idea how they would actually perform on the table, but based on my totally solid foundation of 2 30k games under my belt vs. someone else just getting in, this is how I built mine:

I figure they should be able to do a pretty mediocre job at almost everything. That’s the Ultramarine way!

For squads of 5 right now I am building mine with 3 Lightning Claws and Two Chain Fists, a Reaper Autocannon (which I might change out for Plasma Blaster) a Volkite Charger and 3 Combi-Bolters (until I get either more Volkite Chargers or some Combi-Weapons to replace everything).

The ten-man unit I run with my EC is basically used as a beefier scoring unit. I keep them simple, with just power axes, combi-bolters, and two plasma blasters and the grenade harness.

Depends on which Legion and Rite of War you are using, and what role you want them to have. So... /shrug

I plan on putting them with Hvarl Redblade, Russ, and a speaker of the undead for preferred enemy shenanigans inside a spartan for Wolves. The more I am thinking about it, the more I want to say I am thinking of instead of claws just giving them stock swords to get me out of binds with marine blobs since I have two sources of preferred enemy. So it would be 5-6 swords, 2 Powerfists, 2-3 Chainfists, and then 10 combi-plasma.

I've made mine with claws and a heavy flames to start and plan to add another five with a couple of chainfists.

I have cataphractii for tactical duties I want to take advantage of the fact they can sweeping advance so went all in on melee for tartaros.

Realize that you can't use the Varagyr Wolf Guard Terminators in Tartaros armor- they are only available in Cataphractii Terminator Armor.

You can still take a regular Legion Terminator Squad and place them in Tartaros armor, but... they would not get Hunter's Gait. You will not be able to give them Frost Weapons. They will not count as troops choices under Russ' "The Circle of the Varagyr" rule as that specifies Varagyr Wolf Guard Terminator squads.

They will still work as an "escort" for Russ in a Spartan, but I almost think a bunch of Grey Slayers with Frost Weapons would actually be better.

Grey Slayers dont get Frost Weapons, they get plain old Power Weapons.

True but they are cheap power weapons and you can mix in claws and power fists for added punch.

Well yeah, its more the fact that he was claiming they get frost, which is wrong.

I was just happy we got four types of frost weapons I genuinely was just expecting axes.
