As the title says on a Stormwolf, what is the general consensus for the twin linked guns for the storm wolf. Keep the heavy bolters, swap to the missile launchers or buy the multi meltas?

I'd take lascannons and multi meltas on it if you play at 1850 points, in lower games it would be ok to keep it cheap.

If you're investing in a Stormwolf nab the Multimeltas, they make brilliant Tank Hunters.
If you have to go cheap get the Skyhammers over the Heavy Bolters. I couldn't think of a reason to take Heavy Bolters.

I don't break the rules but I'll bend them as far as they'll go.

Skyfire Melta is a very powerful tool since they've got the speed to use it anywhere on the board as well as the str and pen to cause every non-armoured ceramite flier to have a critical existance failure a large portion of the time as well as getting to annoying ground bound armour. Also high enough str an good enough AP to wound FMC's on 2's and force them to jink. It really is the best possible option and I think you'd be mad to take the missile launcher. Even against ceramite, you're still penning a 'Talon on 4's / 'Raven on 5's and exploding on 5's with any of the other pen results still effectively rendering it combat ineffective next turn even if it was silly enough not to jink. Against everything else you're penning on anything but snake eyes against eldar paper planes at best to penning a heldrake or valk/'detta on 5's on 2 dice. That's obscene.

Even for ground bound targets, you've got the speed to threaten virtually anything with double pen range the turn you come on with enough options to get side armour too. Just like in the air, pretty much anything you aim at is now combat ineffective next turn even if it's not busy being a flaming pile of wreckage.

Worst comes to worst and there's no joicy target on the ground or in the air, you take a wound off an MC or kill an expensive trooper.

The only reason that I'd ever even consider taking the kraks would be if I fought nothing but FMC's all day long and even then, I wouldn't be choosing a stormwolf to fight against it, so that idea is pretty much scratched from the start.

I don't know about that, until DFTS I thought the Stormwolf with its 360' Helfrost Canon was the better choice, made it nearly impossible to beat in a dogfight.
