Hey guys,

I'm trying to form a list and I've run into something rather interesting that could open me up to all sorts of shenanigans. With the Skyhammer Annihilation Force, you are required to take 2x Assault Squads and 2x Devastator Squads. At full strength, both of these unit types can be split into Combat Squads, which brings me to my question:

Would splitting the Devastator and/or Assault Squad(s) into Combat Squads be allowed? And if so, would it affect the Formation in any way?

Cheers guys

Practically standard practice in my area to max the devastators with scrubs and combat squad them for 4 sets of suppression.

Some people find the idea that other people can be happy offensive, and will prefer causing harm to self improvement.

I was thinking something along those lines - Use two squads drawn from the Devastators that are just 5x Space Marines w/ Boltguns and use them for suppression for the Assault Squads while the Heavy Weapons w/ the Sergeant go after the heavy-hitting targets.
