Aside from using the skyhammer annihilation force, is there any way to get Relentless or SaP on a devastator squad?

CTDA captain is the easy one. I think there are some psychic powers that work, but am not sure on that.

Terminators and psychic stuff, great. The two things I least want to deal with.

What did you expect? You have the codex it should be pretty clear that they don't get Relentless/SnP normally

I was hoping there was a cheaper formation (FLGS matchs are mostly 1000 points, fielding a full skyhammer is thus very pricey, particularly for a one-off), or a FW character or chapter tactic, or literally anything other than those two. Tartaros terminators are almost tolerable, but the I dislike Indomitus and despise Cataphractii. Ditto for pyskers, I keep thinking of adding in a couple PAGKs to my force (because stormbolters and force halberds are really cool), and then deciding not to because I don't want to deal with psyker crap (or the conversion they'd need to fit in with the rest of the army, but mostly psyker crap).

Dreadnaughts and Centurions are mobile weapons platforms, as alternatives. Attack Bikes. Land Speeders. I mean, there are options that aren't Devs that are mobile heavy weapon platforms.

Khan and Rhinos...

Yeah, if you're after footslogging PA Devastators, you won't have many options apart from Cataphractii Captains and Psykers to make them Relentless.

They/them

Well you have two very easy options there. The Catacaptain is the easiest and best option. He can tank infront of the squad very easily.

Alternatively, get a unit of centurions.

8,000 pts and counting
1,000 points, now painting.

Or go with Deathwatch and get their assault Heavy Bolters or Frag Cannons.

Whip out the traitor legions book and play deathguard? SnP devs was always a fantasy of mine, enough so that starting a DG army is on my horizon. Just really like the idea of some marines walking up with heavy bolters or autocannons blasting stuff.
