Ok, so the premise is I'm facing Space Marines, not sure what Chapter Tactic, but I know he's running a libby conclave.

I figured I would bring some Psykers myself, and with CSM being AoC I figured they would fit.

So here's the list:

So the Overlords go with the Lychguard, the Veil being able to teleport them and the Thermasite gives the other a 3+ re-rolling and a S8Ap2 Warscythe for challenges.
Night Scythe drops them as close as possible. The Warriors and Immortals foot slog while being supported by the Arks, hopefully restoring most of the models I lose, the Stalker is there to help boost shooting.

Sorc with the Rubric Marines tries to support the Warriors/Immortals either rolling on Heretech or Geomancy, maybe even Summoning when I see his final list. The Rhino either moves to block LoS for the Rubricae squad, or sit on a backfield objective.

As far as his list goes I know he doesn't run much Grav, maybe a squad. I do know he likes to take a couple Drop Pod Plasma squads, other than that and the Libby conclave I'm unsure.

Any advice and feedback welcome.

I'm not too knowledgeable on the Necron front, but I can give a little advice on the CSM aspect.

Sadly, 4 warp charges is not going to be enough to regularly Summon, if that's part of the plan. Also, the Rubrics stand out as being quite expensive and sadly a little frail to small arms fire (Which people will put on them, since the Necrons are tougher). I would suggest either bringing a Word Bearers Allied detachment with a ML3 sorc, Mark of Nurgle, and Palanquin. Cultist blob to stick him in. He'll harness warp charges on 3+ for Summoning spells, have plenty of wounds to peril off, and be more durable than the Rubrics. You could also go the Cyclopia Cabal route, but they would probably want a squad to hide in. In you go the Word Bearer route, you still might want to stick in another Sorc for more warp charges or try to get some horrors summoned first.

If you're not concerned about going for Summon, you might want to consider a different Legion, since Thousand Sons -have- to take a Mark of Tzeentch and that will force you to roll on that table before you roll for other powers. The Aspiring Sorc will only get that table since he knows one power. Black Legion, Night Lords, Alpha Legion, Iron Warriors, and Word Bearers can all bring unmarked Sorc's if you want to roll all of their powers on specific tables.

EDIT: In terms of WC's to use per summon, if harnessing on a 4+, you'll want 7+ dice. If harnessing on a 3+, you'll want 5-6 dice. Just some general advice there.

Well, I picked Thousand Sons because the Exalted Sorcerer, I always seem to be able to use his beam to destroy something.

Also, I need the Astral Grimoire there to get the squad to hop around.

I'm hoping to roll on Tzeentch for either Treason of Tzeentch or Doombolt, and also get Summoning. With 4+d6 dice being able to re-roll I think I can reliably cast it as well.

I threw in the Rubrics because they have the Ap3 weapons and hopefully can do damage to any drop podding units behind the main line.

Well, you have a Lychstar with 10 Lychguard and 2 Overlords in a Night Scythe. If everything goes well (anti-air), the unit can arrive in turn 2 or later and needs another turn for the charge.
The enemy will try to avoid this unit by retreating or moving his units into cover. Not sure if this really works.

That's why the veil of darkness is there, depending on how badly I need them I can have them just start on the board then they teleport where they need to be.

Anyway, game is in a couple hours so we'll see how it goes
