For my games recently. I have been taking a small CSM allies list to help add some model density to my back lines / counter charge.

Been bringing a single Sorcerer, mastery 2, to bring in daemons. Spell Familiar for rerolls.

Tried the Word Bearers chapter. 3+ is nice. But because the Sorcerer is not a daemon (perals on any double). His been dying turn 2-3 from perals alone.

Been thinking Crimson Slaughter would be better. As the artifact Prophet of the Voices gives the Sorcerer the Daemon trait. No more perals on all doubles. So I can throw more dice without combusting, and the artifact is not to costly. Only succeeds on a 4+, but more dice and the familiar should resolve that.

For a single summoner allie, thoughts?

Bring Chaos Daemons for daemon summoning

Or failing that, a WB daemon prince.

Or a Defiler...?

The problem of the defiler is that you need the warlord trait that makes him a sorcerer . A shame he cant take relics haha

But yeah, the best for summon if not use WB sorcerers are some heralds. An herald and a unit of blue horrors is very cheap. And on a area cover they will have a nice 3++ or 2++ rerolling 1s

Give a paradox and nearly always will summon.

An option are the blue scribes, but they are random and can summon horrors... but always a susccess. Also if they become a great daemon is a win xD
