I have a handful of dead guys (mostly fantasy) and had fun painting them and think it would be cool to get more as objective markers, wound/damage markers, or just to replace a mini as your warband gets beat up. I mostly play fantasy games, but dabble in the odd sci fi game. 28-30mm figs only.

I have a few GW dead beastmen, that plastic GW orc with the arrow in his side (not dead yet, but sure looks pretty bad!), a Mantic elf, a couple of the WoTC DnD "dead guy" figures. I have a few LOTR skeletons from the Mines of Moria, and I think I might have a skeleton or two in a treasure pile that could sorta pass off as an undead casualty. I also have Mantic's deadzone metal set of dead dudes (one rebel who could pass for a fantasy fig, an orx/ork, a plague mutated human type figure, and an Enforcer).

Can y'all recommend dead dudes? I'm mostly focused on fantasy, but would love to see what ya got for sci fi too, just for fun. Any eldar casualties out there? I presume casualties don't sell as well as non casualties, so I'm guessing there isn't much out there... What ya got?

I play...

Sigh.

Who am I kidding? I only paint these days...

Reaper has a couple that are cool: https://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/casualty (Fantasy knights)

Mostly I make them, myself though. It's just easier in one sense (harder in execution maybe of course).

That's how I did these guys:

takes a bit of cutting of course, but you can do a good bit with that, and a little GS if required too

Skeletons are a good way to start! I got a box of Tomb Kings skeleton calvary and used them for skelly horses/riders. The horses were great because they came in two pieces so you could make the main part lying on the ground, looking very dead.

anyway, Black Powder has some casualties, Hail Caesar as well. I don't know of any Sci Fi ones except the GW SM casualties, but you might check miniaturemarket, wayland etc

Good luck!

There are 2 IG Tallarn casualties, 2 IG praetorian casualties, 1 IG death korp of krieg injured trooper from their quartermaster kit, another IG death korps of krieg about to die choked by renegade ogryn from LE renegade ogryn kit; IG Cadian injured trooper from OOP metal Cadian command.

Further more, the HH character series have a casualty or two among every scenic base.
