I am looking to improve my painting a lot. And as i try to do this, i have to try many new techniques. Most of the time i fail and is disappointed of the result.
This means i have a hard time practicing on most of my minis i have as i don't want to waste them.
So i had the idea to buy some practice miniatures.
they need to be:
-cheap
-metal(so i can strip them easily)
-one piece
-have some variation in materials(skin, metal, fabric ideally)
-not too detailed and not too simple

The ones i am thinking about right now is maybe celtos miniatures they looks like these:

Anybody else have any idea for some good ones that fit this description?

You could try Reaper bones miniatures. They're cheap, and many of them fit what you're looking for. They don't need to be primed, but if you don't prime them you'll to paint them with a layer of Reaper Liner for paint to stick properly.

Revenge is a dish best served with mayonnaise and those little cheesy things on sticks.

I'd look at the old grenadier models. You can get them cheaply from forlorn hope under em4, or elsewhere as mirliton. Beautiful barbarian range.

Personally, I would just look for AOS Khorne Starter set and later throw it away/sell it 'painted' for 2/4 or 1/4 the price. That would give you a lot of models to play with.

For cheap practice minis, NOTHING beats the plastic armyman or other similar figure (cowboys and indians, spacemen, dinosaurs, whatever).

Go down to the dollar store and pick up a pack of 20ish. For that price you can toss them when they've served their purpose.

CHAOS! PANIC! DISORDER!
My job here is done.

Ral Partha Europe have a few old ranges that'd meet the criteria, too.

I'm sooo, sooo sorry.
