Can you use heavy support/fast attack/dedicated transport options as they're outlined in Imperial Armour 1 in the Castellans of the Imperium detachment? For example, could I use the immobile basilisk batteries as a heavy support choice for the detachment, given that the battery is listed as a "heavy support choice for a Codex: Imperial Guard army", or is it only the units outlined in the book itself?

Sadly like all detachments or formations you can only use what's listed unless given express permission in the unit entry to replace a unit.

The Castellans of the Imperium Army List explicitly tells you:

"Each entry will include an abbreviated reference to the codex, publication or dataslate where their appropriate datasheet can be found..."

Why would you think you could look anywhere else?

because GW doesn't include forgeworld stuff, while forgeworld does add models to GW armies
