Looking for the citadel gold which is really gold like you would expect(balthasar is like copper.)
Im on the website at the moment from Games Workshop, is liberator gold the one im looking for?
Or any other recommendations?(cheaper but same /better quality?)

Retributor Armour, Gehenna's Gold, Auric Armour Gold and Liberator Gold are the proper Gold colours.

Of those, Auric Armour Gold and Liberator Gold are the brightest

If you mean the base gold.

The one with a white lit that's a very very good gold.

White Lid* is what he means; Liberator Gold and Retributor Armour both have these to signify them when they were new. They're both very strong Golds, but Retributor Armour is probably the one you're after

I'd say retributor armor is the "truest" gold with auric armour gold being the appropriate "polished gold" highlight color.

As a gold that covers well, gives strong pigment and gold effect.
It's pretty hard to beat.

This is spot on.

- Retributor Armor is the best base colour for a true gold.
- Auric Armour is the perfect layer as it has great pigment but is still suitable transparent that it blends beautifully with the Retributor.
- Liberator Gold is the best highlight either as a blended highlight or edge highlight.

You can also change the nature of these golds with a wash.
- Reikland Fleshshade will give your gold a reddy tinge to it that makes it look warm and vibrant.
- Seraphim Sepia will give your gold a more realistic look.
- Agrax Earthshade will make your gold appear more ancient and worn.
- Nuln Oil gives the gold a dark appearance that can look good on corrupt models (note this wash needs to be watered down a lot or it ruins the effect)

Dont get auric armour as a base as its very thin and not a good base like retributor, very nice as a layer or for highlights
