Howdy!
Is it possible for cadians to use bolters on sgt's and veterans ?
Would the size of the bolter be a huge difference of the model or look stupid etc ?
Cheers for the help

If I remember correctly I think there is an option to upgrade characters/ sgt's to carry bolters, but without my codex collection here at work it is difficult to confirm.

I do however recollect that GW used to have some IG minis armed with bolters.
It worked out, but was a bit big.

Think of it as a regular real life soldier suddenly carrying a 50cal machinegun, It is possible, but not for everyone, it might even work, but perhaps not very practical

You can upgrade certain IG models/characters with a bolter, but like Jetmech said, it does look a bit big, but only with the new upgraded "tall and thin" plastic bolters.

If you are able to, try to get some early 1990's "low and fat" style bolters. They are cool (in a retro way) and are much easier to place on your models due to their different dimensions. Funilly enough, this us the reason I didn't go for the old storm trooper model with a bolter and scanner - the bolterbwas the "tall and thin" type and looked WAY too big on him!

The catachan command squad comes with IG scaled boltgun, but the downside of that is that you end up with a box of catachans.

Anvil has Regiments(Guard) scaled Bolters as an option, even a Guard-scaled Stormbolter, their Firestorm Carbine.

Check them out.
