I'd advise not. I always prime black, and basecoat with Celestra, paint 2-3 thin layers of Ulthuan, and highlight with White Scar. In my experience, white primer really messes with every other color.

Peregrine - If you like the army buy it, and don't worry about what one random person on the internet thinks.

Always paint two thin coats of Ulthuan to get a solid white.
Never try and use white scar to paint large areas and don't use white spray unless most of the model is going to be white or a very light colour.

You love the T-Rex. Its both a hero and a Villain in the first two movies. It is the "king" of dinosaurs. Its the best. You love your T-rex.
Then comes along the frakking Spinosaurus who kills the T-rex, and the movie says "LOVE THIS NOW! HE IS BETTER" But...in your heart, you love the T-rex, who shouldn't have lost to no stupid Spinosaurus. So you hate the movie. And refuse to love the Spinosaurus because it is a hamfisted attempt at taking what you loved, making it TREX +++ and trying to sell you it.

There are grey washes out there these days. Could be a fast way to shade white

Never go pure white either and the tone you go with will change the overall feel, using a grey blue or a brown will make it a cold or warm white for example compared to the neutral grey. I'd also say not to prime white or black, prime grey if you want to do brighter colours like white.

The ulthuan grey is life saver. I used to HATE painting white but with ulthuan grey I can get white I don't feel instantly like removing!

Made painting white surprisingly easy.
