Hey there! im a new necron player and basically to cut to the chase im looking to finally beat my space wolf using friend in a game, i have only re started this hobby recently so my list customization if you have any suggestions is limited but i would like to hear them anyways!
HQ
Lord - Nightmare Shroud, Phase Shifter

Troops
Necron Warriors - 20 man unit
Necron Warriors - 20 man unit
Necron Warriors - 20 man unit

Fast
Wraiths - 5 man unit /w whip coils
Scarbs - 6 man unit

Heavy
Spider thing - Twin linked partial cannon thing, Prisim, repair hands
Monolith

The idea with this list is haveing big blobs of warriros i can walk across the bored blasting people, well the monolith advances up polping warriors where needed well the spider sit behind it to repair untill needed other wise, well the wraiths are my dedicated melee unit.

First off, drop some warriors and take an Overlord and give him a warscythe. You don't really need the Nightmare Shroud tbh.

Second, you need a way to make your warriors fearless or else a single thunderwolf unit can roll into one, win combat by a few wounds, and then sweep the whole damn unit if you fail a leadership test. There's no easy solution to that unless you take Nemesor Z, but I'm just warning you that it's a big risk against wolves.

Third, when playing, be super careful with how you allocate the wraiths since they're really the only killing power you have in the entire list. If you have any other units that hit harder than warriors I'd consider dropping one of the 20 man bricks to bring that instead (Praetorians or Destroyers could work wonders).

Are you avoiding formations for a reason? Using the decurion and harvest (you already have all the models on your list for this) adds needed boosts to your army facing SW.

If you are going to stay with the implacable wall of advancing warriors adding a ghost ark in to support and repopulate them would help.

The Imperium of Man: White Scars - 1200, Raven Guard - 110 pts, Imperium - 550 pts
Tomb World: Nameless Dynasty - 270 pts

Now we're talking. What other models do you have, and what does the wolf player tend to prefer? (since we're basically list tailoring already here)

Hmmmm, not much else to toss into the list that isn't in there already. I think you'll find the destroyers will help a lot against the infantry. You could swap out some warriors for Immortals if the Wulfen are giving you problems, since they're 4+ armor base. Otherwise I think it's about as good as it's going to get. Thunderwolves will be your main trouble, but between your wraiths and your respectable dakka you should be able to kill them if they just rush you straight up.

Ok thanks! i feel a bit better with the list now that i have the addition of the destroyers

Focused Fire Warrior

I would split the Warriors up into four squads of 10. They can still be used together as a single offenseive unit, but having multiple smaller squads gives you 1. Sweeping advance protection, 2. Focus fire protection, 3. More tactical flexibility

Necron Decurions aren't cheese, irritating but not cheese.
I'd be surprised if three more supplements in that style don't drop before 8th edition.

I don't break the rules but I'll bend them as far as they'll go.
