Hello, I was going to start painting my imperial guard death corps of krieg and I was wondering what options people here recommend for painting troops and tanks.
Thanks,
Ryan.

Tied and gagged in the back of your car

That's an impressively vague question you've got there.

Use an airbrush for the tanks, I guess?

I know it is kind of a general question. Just curious if there are official painting schemes for the krieg army choices.

Paint them colors that you like. Have a fine brush for details, and anything that is supposed to look a little worn use a wash after you've painted it. There is a whole section dedicated to painting.

No "official colors". IA12 and IASoV have multiple images of different color schemes. Here is the result of a quick google search:

No single official scheme, but the general rule is "dull and muted". Brown, black, gray, etc, all boring and lifeless. At no point should there be bright colors, pride in heraldry like space marines, or anything but pure efficiency in using whatever cloth is available in sufficient quantities.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

If you want your DKoK to look like WW1 French infantry there is a very good painting guide on Front Rank Fire, Second Rank Fire. Just Google it and bingo.

Sorry, no idea how to insert links.

Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you.

I insert link for the greater good!

It's a bit outdated, but the paints are still available from Coat d'Arms, I believe.

Peregrine - If you like the army buy it, and don't worry about what one random person on the internet thinks.

Thanks for suggestions. I'm going to paint them dull grey tones based on the 143rd regiment picture above.
