As per the title, I'll mostly share CSM and Kingdom Death stuff. I've been painting these slowly since some time in 2015 I think. My rate isn't prolific, but it mostly keeps up with my rate of purchases(ignoring the obliterators who are discouragingly ugly). I've been painting a copy of Dreadfleet too, but I've not kept up with that, hence the ships in my images are dusty.

The Phoenix is the most recent KD piece I've painted. Did my best considering that the cheap primer I bought sort of went on too thick.

The mustache vanished. To be fair, the white-primed mustache did look like a scrap of string, so someone might have thrown it away. I'll have to make another out of various colors of stuff.

I originally wanted to paint it bright blue like the one image of the feather in the manual, but later decided to just have the tips of the feathers fade to blue/white. Dark's easier and makes it harder for people to see your numerous mistakes and failures.

The dung beetle knight's resin ball isn't much to look at, so I'll just leave it in the background there.

For the starting survivors, I've not painted the pupils, and I think it stands out more in images. I'm afraid of pupils. I think they look too cartoony every time I see them on someone else's models.

I tried them once a few days ago on this random Reaper model. Never again. Probably also should've thinned the paint in his mouth a bit better. He's got a bit of unintentional froth going on.

For CSM, I've been sort of ignorantly building up Nurgle units. 40k isn't actually a game I have much experience with. I played a demo of it in 1998 I think(when I was eight) which was, strangely, in a Proffitt's department store in the local mall, and since then I've read parts of an outdated quickstart guide and a few editions of the Necron and CSM codices. I am sure that this is a good way to build an army and everything will work out fine.

I started the army with this Typhus figure, which I purchased at a Warhammer store in Texas due to being excited to see my first GW store. I had expended all of my will to fight the camera into focusing for these pictures, so I did not have enough surplus to go back and take them without dust.

I'm trying to be creative with every marine I make, because my problem with necrons was that painting the warriors became far too boring about six into the squad. That said, I'm better now than I was then and could probably do them with far less effort now.

It didn't come out too well(due to me spraying varnish badly at the time), but I tried to use a dead wasp's head for this terminator. It died with its jaws clamped onto a rag in the shop building, so I tried to gently pry the jaws open. They're only slightly broken.

I scratchbuilt this ultrasweet custom terminator out of what I had on hand to make up for my mistakes with acetone.

Is the blight drone actually worth using in a game?

I'm real pleased with how the rhino came out. It's a loyalist rhino because the kit was a little bit cheaper, and fething it up seemed like a fun thing to do.

Here's some fingerprint for you.

I did this one for a friend recently, hence it's ok that he's off-color to my mother marines.

Despite it looking like I painted it with my mouth, I'm still quite proud of this samurai marine. I did the most sculpting I have so far on making his mask and helmet, and most of the semi-sensical additional armor was putty too. I'll figure out what to do with the rest of my Puppetswar swords eventually.
