Well, I got this guy 2 years ago, and I've finally got around to finishing and photographing him. The model itself was a joy to paint, the only reason it took so long was my hesitation to ruin it (Having never painted such an expensive model before). I can only hope I've done justice to such an exquisitely detailed sculpt.

Without further ado then, I present Vulkan, Primarch of the XVIII Legion, Lord of the Drakes, the Unbound Flame:

(Gah, I really need to work on my photography!)

Your pics could use a bit more resolution, but otherwise it's a sweet looking model, well done sir!

Vulkan lives! Well done!

The black rage is within us all. Lies offer no shield against the inevitable. You speak of donning the black of duty for the red of brotherhood; but it is the black of rage you shall wear when the darkness comes for you.

You've definitely done the model justice and I love the little details here and there like the symbols on the cloak. Really adds to the mini.

However, for all of it's beauty the specs of grey paint on the black rim keep drawing my eye

Very nice, one thing I think could do with a bit of extra work is the Death Guard on his base, looks very flat and lacking at the moment. Good job nonetheless

Thanks all! I'd been putting off finishing him for a long while now, so I thought I'd just get it done and put him up here for some C&C - so I appreciate all the comments very much.

@Xeanee - Unfortunately, I didn't realise the grey spots until I'd taken and processed the pics :( I had kinda hoped that it wouldn't be to much of a detractor.

@Valkyrie - That's probably my poor photography - in fact, he's quite heavily weathered, but the photos are a little too over-exposed, to show the detail - I've really got to get better at photography. :( Thanks for the advice and compliment though!

More pixels sire! But mini looks really good. Love the details on the cloak.
