Has anyone used deathwatch models bits and mix them in with your space marine tactical squads? Especially the legs to get the marines to have different poses? I am thinking of ordering multiple kits of each to try this but have heard different perspective on the compatibility of the bits. Ranging from it works to sizes being different.

Not all of them but I bought the White Scar biker bits on ebay and am planning on using him for a conversion, maybe Khan maybe just a special biker.

I'm thinking about doing the same thing with the Raven Guard assault marine.

The Imperium of Man: White Scars - 1200, Raven Guard - 110 pts, Imperium - 550 pts
Tomb World: Nameless Dynasty - 270 pts

They're two multi-part, plastic space marine kits; entirely interchangeable.

Yeah, they were designed for exactly this kind of thread.

Just got a set of deathwatch legs and they are definitely a little bigger, especially near the hip joint in my opinion. In fact they don't seem to fit on space marine torso perfectly. Are my eyes decieving me? Or is the deathwatch model bigger than the Space Marines too? Initially I thought it was just the legs that were bigger.

They have wider waists thanks to the added armour plates, and are slightly taller thanks to the fact they're not in a semi-squat like most SM leg poses, but in terms of scale, they're absolutely fine and should fit SM torsos easily. If any specific dimensions are bigger, it's just because Mark VIII armour is more bulky than most others.

So what you mean is if I use the mkviii torso from the bank tactical squad it should fit perfectly with the deathwatch legs?

You sure the deathwatch toro not bulked than the back tactical squad mk8 torso?

Honestly, that shouldn't even matter. Any SM torso should fit on the DW legs, MkVIII or otherwise. I've done some conversions which used DW torso backs (specifically the one with the cape) and regular SM torso fronts, and they fit fine both together and to the legs (again, DW and Tactical), the only trimming needed is the raised neck area.
