Quick question, I think the nurgle daemon prince model is extremely lame and ugly. Am i able to use one of the other Daemon Princes and paint it nurgle and consider it a nurgle one in terms of a tournament etc? Would that fly in most tournaments?

Well, there is only one nurgle prince and two generic ones so yes. There is nothing denoting the generic princes as one god or another and you can't have an undivided prince other than belakor so slapping a coat of green onto them is as good a denotion as any.

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

It's perfectly fine. If your still a little shaky you could always add some boils and growths with a bit of Green Stuff.

You can always convert one even closer to your liking. There are a lot of monsters and monstrous creatures in the 40k, Sigmar, and Hobbit ranges that would make a good foundation for a Daemon prince, not to mention all the non-GW models.

Nurgle is one of the Chaos Gods that allows for fun conversions, and greenstuffing of boils, mouths, abscesses, fat, tentacles, and more. You don't even necessarily have to paint the DP green.

The chaos spawn kit is full of bits that you'll have leftover after building the spawns. I think that those bitz + some green stuff along with the plastic demon prince model could do some cool stuff. There's a large fly head that would fit on the plastic prince model just fine, as well as all sorts of assorted claws and tentacles.

I've seen a lot of models with these kind of details just painted on and even that looks pretty good really.

If you are more of a painter than a sculptor, I suppose it is something to consider.

I think you would be better suited to one of the pretty factions, friendo.
You are doing Papa Nurgle wrong.

I should reword that, i didn't mean ugly in that context. I meant I dont think the model looks good. If that's a better word for it. I love the other nurgle models except the nurgle daemon prince.

I know what you mean. But converting them is great fun, and a good way to learn new skills
