Hello guys, up to this point I have gotten by with cheap clippers and files of dubious quality purchased from Home Depot. I am ready to bite the bullet and replace them with high quality versions. So, my question to you guys, is what are the best hobby clippers and files out there.

As a bonus question, what grit sand paper do you normally use (specifically for greenstuff work).

Thanks!

Tamiya make some good quality hobby tools. I've used their clippers for a few years and they are great.

Revenge is a dish best served with mayonnaise and those little cheesy things on sticks.

Any hobby grade clippers will do. As long as you take care of them, they will last for years.

I've been very happy with the GW file set. They are a bit pricey, but I think worth it. The other option is to look for a jeweler's set of of files and instruments.

Xuron, Tamiya, etc. As for files, look up Eagle(Squadron) or Tamiya emory board sticks, etc.

A little dubious but i find that the Cheap 2 dollar Harbor Freight flush cutters works stupid well.

i picked up a few for pewter and plastic.

This was extraordinarily helpful on the sprue clipper front. Thank you very much for that link!
