I can post pictures if someone needs them, but how would I go about attaching an empire knight (uses the old slotted cavalry bases) to a bike base? Do I just cut the runners off and hope the hooves have enough area to stick, or do I shave down the runners to be just a sliver thick, attach them like that, and then apply a thicker than usual layer of sand to cover them?

Other suggestions?

Cut off all of the runners but a thin peg at the hooves, drill holes in the base, insert the pegs.
