This is my 5th Kickstarter and the largest offering of individual parts to date and the usual big piles and cheap prices.

You will receive 25 miniatures as depicted above in the Robots starter kit when you pledge $45. There are 96 parts (83 metal and 13 plastic bases) in this kit. That equals $1.80 per miniature or 53 cents per metal part.

Under the couch

Looks like a mix of old MegaMinis and Demonblade stuff... Some cool retro-ness there.

Ninja'd!

Some more eye candy then since I went through all the trouble of putting a thread together.

Great prices and some cool figures in there. I'm probably out till I make a real dent in my recent acquisitions but otherwise I'd be all over this.

Johnny Lauck has a good reputation for delivery and well-run kick starters.

Non-US shipping is a flat $20

OH NOES!

Johnny Lauck (a.k.a. JohnnyBorg) opened Discount Hobby, Inc. in 1985 as a chain of hobby stores. By 1998, I moved into online sales and then in 2001 the manufacturing of miniatures. My Mega Miniatures brand (2001 to 2013) offered more than 1,700 different miniatures. After selling off most of the molds to other companies, I still continue to cast and make molds, currently focusing on small Kickstarter ventures beginning in 2014. However, 2017 will be my last year offering a Kickstarter in the spring and one in the summer. My equipment and remaining molds will be for sale as I wrap up shipping pledges. I'm officially retiring from the industry.

Get 'em while you can!

Dang! Thanks for catching that. I think JL said he'll be doing Dungeon Worlds later this year so we can get more scenery. He said he'd release a Salvage Crew ruleset, but I don't know the details. Thanks for the pics!

I have some of the models from those images. Very well cast and nice old school appeal. Used to LOVE Mega Miniatures when he still had it going.

I'm on a hiatus for 28mm for a while or I'd be all over this. The salvage crew and the little work bots in particular are very useful for all sorts of scenarios.

Shame to hear this might be last chance.

The Alpha Forge bots and asteroid miners are very nice but I've had enough multipart metal models fall apart on me that I don't want to touch them.

1: Sometime around June of 2017 I will be launching the second Dungeon Monsters Kickstarter with more Decor. Some 40 new pieces will be offered.

2: Currently my Robots, Drones, Cybers, and Ratmen KS is live. I have someone interested in buying the molds from all the pieces offered in this latest set in October, so this will be the last time I will be producing and offering these figures. If nothing else, please share or spread the word about this latest KS.

More monsters!

Looking at this for possible use in 15 and 28mm gaming. I've set a reminder.

They are part of a game system from back in the day. You can use them for others, as well.... Judge Dredd comes to mind.

The price of this whole KS package will cost as much as an Base army in GW. or Warmachine.

Here's the game system, BTW. Its tried and true, and holds up well to time. Along with the fact that you can come up with your own worlds, as well- It still has potential after all these years.

I'm still intrigued by these old school. They take gaming back to a simpler time, and much more manageable. We didn't need super-hyper-details, they did their jobs and ate lead, and liked it.

Predictably I'm fence-sitting.

The price is very right, but the prospect of adding 25 amazing gonzo retro cool robots to my painting pile for about £2 each including shipping... is tempered by the fact that they will probably all want pinning. Nooooooooooooooooooooo.

The humanoid worker bots don't need pinning, nor the Salvage Crew or ratmen. I have a few of the humanoid robots from his first Salvage Crew KS, and have backed Johnny Lauck a number of times.

Yeah, it's the bigger bots I really like, though. Makes sense that the smaller ones won't need pinning... I guess I could Araldite the bigger ones. Thanks. I'll have a think...
