Looking at the combat drugs and bonus to iniative I was curious if they could be strong for comp play. Also with an Icon of Excess 4+ FNP if stacked which could be nasty. Just curious

Yes they can be very effective. Not smashfether with command squad effective, but still effective.

Lightning Claws on the champion, MoS and Icon of Excess in a maxed unit with a Lord of your choice on bike (Or if you want some shenanigans put the Lord on a Seeker and bring your bikes in by Outflanking). Destroy all that stand in your way.

But can it be competitive?

Not very much in the world of scatbikes, wuffen and invisible deathstars everywhere. Pretty decent for casual games though.

No ObSec and no skilled rider means they're dead on the water competitively.

They have a very mediocre damage output per point.
