I don't play a lot of Maelstrom missions. But it seems to me this is where Objective Secured would shine. I have found OS to be rather lackluster in Eternal War missions. Is it worth it to focus on OS with Maelstrom missions (book missions only) especially in lower points games?

The greater the points, the more it shines, because the objectives will have units on them.

It is also possible to go the entire game without drawing a "Secure X Objective" card, in which case it has no effect. Or, you draw them at the start of the game, and the objectives are already on your side of the board, in which case it has no effect.

I play primarily 1,000 points, and 1,500 points, and I haven't had it do much for me. Usually by the time we draw "hold X objective" cards enough units are dead to where it's difficult to even make it over there.

For anything 1,000 points or less, I'd focus on mobility over objective secured, and being able to actually kill your opponents units.
