Ok since i've never heard of that before i'm guessing it's not actually doable, but would you be able to abuse the malediction that let's you choose an enemy unit and shoot with them (for example the Shroud of Deceit or the Treason of Tzeentch) to target a desperate ally or a come the apocalypse ally since they count as enemy units?

Because if so you could ally a riptide wing or a wraithlord and use those psychic powers to shoot 2 or even 3 times in a single turn. Not something I would personally do but maybe something for the more WAAC amongst us

From 'Allies of Convenience' (pg. 127, main rulebook):

Units from the same army that are Allies of Convenience treat each other as 'enemy units' that cannot be charged, shot, attacked in close combat, or targeted with psychic powers.

defeat. It would seem that stupidity is as eternal as war.'

Because of the rules for shooting you wouldn´t be able to use the riptides in the shooting phase because they have already shot that turn. It is one of the requirements that the unit has not fired yet that turn. Its one of the big FAQ question for the new eldar book.

Additionally as Ghaz pointed out above you can´t target them.
