Hello everyone. After taking nearly a month to decide on an army, I've finally made up my decision to join the WAAAGH!
I am quite new to the gaming aspect of 40k (I've been painting models just for fun) so please guide me on making my army list.

This is what I have thought up of so far:

Formation:

Combined Arms Detachment

HQ:
Warboss 'Kargath Klawfist' (135 pts)
* Mega Armour (Kombi-Skorcha and Power Klaw), Da Lucky Stikk

Big Mek 'Gaznik Snotpunt' (125 pts)
* Mega Armour (Kustom Force Field and Power Klaw)

ELITES:
Meganobz (170 pts)
* Boss Meganob (2 Killsaws)
* 3 Meganobz (Power Klaw and Twin-Linked Shootas)
+ Dedicated Transport:
Trukk (Reinforced Ram) (35 pts)

TROOPS:
'Da Choppa' Boyz [11 Boyz] (106 pts)
* 1 Boss Nob (Power Klaw and Bosspole)
* 10 Boyz w/ Sluggas 'n Choppas
+ Dedicated Transport:
Trukk (Reinforced Ram) (35 pts)

'Da Kutta' Boyz [11 Boyz] (106 pts)
* 1 Boss Nob (Power Klaw and Bosspole)
* 10 Boyz w/ Sluggas 'n Choppas
+ Dedicated Transport:
Trukk (Reinforced Ram) (35 pts)

----------------------------------------------------

This is what I've planned so far.
The Warboss, Big Mek and MANz will be together in the MANz Trukk.

Once again, I'm a total newbie to army building so I have no idea if this is going to work or not :(

Any advice for making this list better is appreciated!

Looks very good for a first list. It's a cohesive army and you've got the right ideas. The only thing I would say is add a bosspole to those Meganobz, it will particularly help with any Pinning tests they have to take if their Trukk blows up. Other than that it's great, at a low points level having that Big Mek isn't essential and it's expensive but it's not the worst way to spend points. The main downside is that it means you'll be buying an extra box of Meganobz in order to have enough models for a unit and the Big Mek. You could swap him out for a Painboy and then have some points left over for a couple of Deffkoptas and that bosspole.

At 750 points I wouldn't take a unit of 5 megarmors with 2 IC on a trukk. The 3 standard manz are good enough. Killsaws are very good but at 750 points they would be redundant, if you have 10 points spared take 2 kombi skorchas instead.

At 750 points orks can be effective if you spread out your points, take MSU, units that are not expensive but in a high number.

A painboy or a weirdboy would probably the best HQ options, maybe a warboss in EA and pk, then try to fit those 3 trukks with boyz and meganobz and then some bikes, lootas, mek gunz, single koptas or other units in trukks.

The MANztar is simply too expensive at this point level. Consider swapping the Big Mek for another warboss and placing the warbosses in the boyz mobs. Then break the MANz down to one or two MANz missiles. It may also be worthwhile to take some ranged units such as tankbustas, lootas, or warbikers.

I've come up with two lists for your perusal. Not necessarily for exact duplication, but inspiration.

CAD

Warboss - MA, BP, CB, DFK
120

Warboss - MA, BP, CB
110

2x 10 Boyz - Trukk, RR, Rokkit
100 (200)

2x 3 MANz - BP, Trukk, RR, Rokkit
160 (320)

750

Or maybe something like

CAD

Warboss - MA, BP, CB, DFK
120

Warboss - MA, BP, CB, DLS
135

2x 10 Boyz - Trukk, RR, Rokkit
100 (200)

3 MANz - BP, Trukk, RR, Rokkit
160

5 Tankbustas - Bomb Squig, Trukk, RR, Rokkit
105

Deffkopta - Rokkit
30

750

Overall your core concept is sound and i like the list, you just go all in and that might not be the best overall strategy.

Wow thanks for all the comments guys.
I guess I wasn't totally off-track on army building...

Just another question, is giving 'eavy armour on the regular Boyz a total waste?

I want the army to be like a warband of Elite-Orks...

Can a list like that work?
