Hello. I've been looking all over the internet for a definitive answer to this (including the official GW FAQ), but is bringing a Deathwatch Shotgun and a Stalker Boltgun on a single model legal? I just wanted to find out before I model these guys.

I was looking at the FAQ and it says "Boltgun," not specifically Stalker Boltgun. Considering that they are both considered Special Weapons, would it be fair to say that you can bring both or not?

Thanks.

Strict RAW perhaps you can do it, but sensibly of they've restricted boltguns they almost certainly intend that to include the stalker boltgun also.

I thought I had read somewhere that you could not but 8 didn't see anything about it in the faq. 8 would check the codex to confirm if you can replace your cc weapon with shotgun.

I'm of the opinion that the term 'boltgun' in the FAQ isn't referring to a bolter, but is referring to the 'boltgun' category of weapons as found on page 176 of the main rulebook. That would disallow a Veteran from taking a Deathwatch shotgun along with a Boltgun, Storm bolter or (presumably) a Stalker pattern boltgun.

Personally I was all for taking both the Deathwatch Shotgun and Deathwatch Bolt Gun but this is is really stretching things to their limit...I approve.

I don't break the rules but I'll bend them as far as they'll go.
