The 'Independent gun spirits' special rule specifies that Kharybdis may target different enemy units with each of it's weapons.

Its been a while since i used mine. When you have 20 zerkers you can tie up half his army with a good multicharge. Watch out for units with interceptor. They get to shoot at the end of the movement phase before you are able too shoot/charge.
The launcher has pinning USR which disallows overwatch if they fail their morale check. Use it to dampen the support overwatch fire of the surrounding units.
Too bad the S -Hit only works on vehicles/buildings.

Or you can just keep buying chaos everything, and not play them. Just sit alone in your room for years, painting and detailing, and detailing some more. Then keep doing that for years until you own upwards of 10000 points of chaos. Keep shining their swords and sharpening their knives. Then some day, some wonderful day, when a new book comes out that will realize your armies' potential, come out from hiding. Everyone will have thought you had left warhammer 40k for good, but no, you had been training, preparing, and brooding for this moment. Return with such vengeance and hatred that you will not hold back, and you will destroy everything in your path. Like a true chaos crusade, wait for the right moment, then burst forth from the Eye of Terror and unleash your pain on the whole universe. And when they cry and complain that you are OP and that it's not fair. Reassure them that it's true. It isn't fair, but it's what they DESERVE. All of them, each and every one of them deserve to be obliterated into oblivion. And if they ask you to play with a fluffy army, tell them you will do so. But on game day bring the meanest nastiest, ugliest army you can. Give them no opportunity for victory, give them no opportunity for enjoyment. Your only goal is to inflict as much pain and suffering as possible. And when they cry, and they will cry, laugh at them, drink their salty tears, and bath in their sweet, sweet blood.

You may want to ask the Tau player if they will play with forge world units, for me i think they are too powerful and unbalance the game, there for destroying the fun.

It's always polite to ask, but it needs to be on a case by case basis. 90% of the Forgeworld stuff for Chaos is balanced for 7th.

There is nothing in FW for chaos as good as a Riptide.

In a game where Riptides, Eldar as a whole, Free Razorbacks, Belakor, TWC, continually spawning Horrors, Skyhammer Annihilation forces, Cawl etc all exist, it is very difficult to call the vast majority of Forgeworld OP. Maybe, just maybe, the Typhon could be called such, but everything else is either very well externally balanced or overcosted. The Kharybdis is overcosted itself and is completely outshone by the Dreadclaw for it's points.
FW gives a much better go at balance than GW in general.

Kharybdis has guns, inertial guidance, 2 more HP and 2 times as much transport capacity, but costs almost 3 times the points of Dreadclaw.

Worth noting - due to them being skimmers when they deepstrike, the loss of inertial guidance systems is not a big deal. Drop it in an open safe area, then turbo-boost it 18" to the area you want it, plus 6" movement next turn, 2" disembark + charge range of unit. You honestly can't miss.
This combined with the fact that they are assault transports makes them totally worth 100 points.

The Dreadclaw. The Ky is 260 points with guidance included.

Same thing applies though, minus perhaps being worth the points. Still heaps better than a land raider mind you which costs about the same.
