my father has a ´stach... my mother used to say the day he shaves that off she gets the divorce... well he did it out of mischief once...they didn´t part...what a wasted effort...

Yeah, I don't like to see myself without "the Goat" (as my 3 year old calls it) either.
US Army does not allow (at least when I was in, who knows what going on now.) facial hair aside from a moustache, and even then, very regulated. I have shaved it ONE TIME since I got out in 1997. That was for Holloween one year, I wanted to be Frankenstein, Frank doesn't have a goat. So I shaved it. The only cool part was that NO ONE knew who I was. The bad part was the 2 months it took to come back in properly. 
Never again.

and dave... yes... that is suitable psycho for me^^...
and jake.. i even was in the ABC defense section of the army... this means being fully enclosed in rubber and fasmasks all day if needed... the decision was if it ever went pooshaped for the world i had to shave it off... but since i was only a mere mortal serving bum back then no one saw the point in forcing me to take it off... in fact our captain wore what we called a face pullover... fully grown santa challenging beard...so much for these regulations^^...
