Frightening Flamer of Tzeentch

Somewhere

Hi all,

Reading the description of the artifact and seeing this brought up in a tactics thread with lots of funny but non specific responses it seems that the type for this weapon is open to interpretation.

The fact that the only clue in the description is that is slices through the mind as well as flesh might indicate it is bladed or could be symbolic of what the Force ability does.

Since the kit comes with a couple arms with a sword in hand I see no reason to not equip one of my Exalted with a sword and call it Seers Bane.

I think it is a bit ironic and fitting that a bane against learned men would be a sword rather than a staff wielded by Tzeentch psychers, the fact that one so armed would arguable do better than most dedicated cc characters also speaks to the irony. The whole what is mightier the pen or the sword.

I went ahead and kitted on of my sorcerer with a sword from the kit, I know my friendly group would not mind, but wanted to see what the community thought...

Somewhere I read on a forum that it can be taken in conjunction with a force staff, as a result I kitted mine with both staff and sword. Rereading the description last night I see that it replaces one melee weapon so I think I will snip the staff from the left hand and just go with the sword. so much for believing everything you read on the internet, lol.

Dunno about the weapon type, but you can always replace the Bolt Pistol instead of the Staff, if you want to make sure you have some S6 for hitting vehicles.

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

They are sometimes deliberately vage in order to allow people to be creative with modeling, it could be a sword or a knife or a halberd, etc.

It feels like a weapon that would be a Halberd. I dunno though.

Indeed - what sort of bastard would want to use their codex?
