As a canadian resident, I buy most of my painting supplies at the local stores but model kits are online mostly. So far i've been able to find some places where you can get kits for arounderstanding 25 percent off retail. Maybe 20 percent after shipping cost. Half my purchases are from eBay.

Wondering where you guys buy your stuff?

For me, a lot of my purchases were impulse buys when I was gaming or meeting friends at the local GW store. Used to visit the Glen Burnie battle bunker on a near weekly basis and nearly always walked out with something. Haven't really been to a GW store since it closed. None are really convenient for me anymore.

Been mostly mail order since and usually only planned purchases, no more random stuff on a whim.

Local independent retailer. I'll even do my special orders through them. My online 40K shopping is usually limited to weird Ebay items.

I do my best to keep my new purchases at my FLGS (45 minutes drive away) or my closest GW (90 minutes drive away), since I get most of my games at these places.

Like wise, unless I see a deal that is too good to ignore, or I need something from FW.

I order from my local GameStore, I could say it's to support where I play. But really it's cause I'm friends with an employee and use his 30% discount.

I live in the states and play a krieg army so I have to order online. However I buy all my paints and supplies from my local GW store. I always try to spend a little money whenever I go to help support them.

Brushes - Art stores
Paints - Everywhere from dolar store equivalents to gaming stores. There is just no need to paint terrain with expensive paints, artist inks are better than GW's ones but GW does make some interesting paints as do some of their competitors.
Glue - Model stores for plastic glue, dollar store equivalents for super glue and wood glue.
Bits and old models - The internet
Sculpting tools - Got them when I was a kid never feeled the need to replace them
Casting materials - The internet
Greenstuff - the internet you would not believe the price difference between GW and the rest of the world for that stuff.
Other modelling clays - Art stores
New models - Stores where I game.

When I buy NIB, I just buy from my local store. If no one supports them, we lose our place to play, so I'm willing to pull my weight in the relationship.

GW, when passing and there's something I want. This is for paints, aerosols, models and books.
If the GW models are currently Finecast, I hit ebay for metal versions. I've been bitten too often by Finecast to suffer any more with that stuff.

Art supplies from art suppliers. Airbrush stuff has no B'n'M option that I can find, so internet for all of that. Brushes from local art stores.

Online stores that sell GW product with a 25% price cut or ebay if I find auctions that come even cheaper. I also shop regularly from bitz sites as getting only the bitz you need you can assemble entire units using your spared bitz, and the process comes cheaper than buying new boxes, even if they have a price cut.

I'm a bit of a mercenary and go where the prices are cheapest. Usually a website.

Depends. When I'm looking to build up some forces quick, I'll hit up eBay, r/miniswap, etc to find a good deal on a bundle of troops. If there's a new release I really want or a codex/supplement, I'll usually get it at my local GW because that's where I play and I want to support the manager who's done an incredible job to bring the store up from where it was just a year or two ago.

I hope they bury me upside down,

Where do you get your stuff? As a Canadian I'm always trying to find a better deal myself on the models. I can get a 21% discount at my flgs if I make a big 300-500 dollar order which I do once a year near October when everything else from the previous year is done. I also have a status card though so I have that working for me. If I do need to buy something online thought it would be great to get a discount.

Oh sometimes GW puts out a time limited bundle like the Tidewall Rampart which I usually buy direct from them or if I can't get it form my flgs.

I get most of my stuff locally.

Since the FLGS provides the space free of charge, I try to buy there as much as possible. Anything I don't buy there is usually through WarStore or (rarely) eBay.

The exception being supplies. I get primer from Walmart/Home Depot and lots of my brushes from Hobby Lobby.

I go to a local store that is ONLY games.
They are down the road from a college and two universities (walking distance).
Their turnover of stock is INSANE and they price GW stuff way less than on the GW site.
For instance, an Imperial Knight Warden is $188 on the GW site, at the store here: $130.
I buy at this place because I never heard anyone say to GW before: "You can fill my shelves as requested or I will find another supplier who will be happy to take your space."
