I've having trouble building and painting skeletons warriors. When building, their joints at the arms and where the spine connects to the legs seem to small to hold them up, i've tried green stuff and citadel glue but they just pop off. As for painting the limbs and weapons are so thin that when I try to paint them (mostly dry brushing) their arms and weapons bend or break at the glue point.

Does anyone have any trips or advice to help me build these skeletons?

Also does anyone know if Black Knights are easier to build?

I personally have not had problems with building Skeletons. Could there be an issue with the glue that you're using?

As for painting there's not much to be said other than be careful. You tend to eventually get into the swing of painting fragile little weapons after a while.

And I'd say Black knights are easier to build in some areas. Managing joints and weapons is easier, but posing them can sometimes be a touch clunky.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

Yeah I had no problems with the GW skeletons, sounds like you're using bad glue. I use either Testors Model Master plastic glue or Revell Contacta plastic glue.

Citadel super glue or plastic glue?

Green stuff and super glue dries quickly, but forms a very brittle bond. If you're going to use green stuff, let it cure naturally and you'll get a strong bond with a bit of flex to it. You can reduce the brittleness of the green stuff by using less hardener.

Plastic glue and Humbrol model filler might be a better combination. I used a tiny amount for some tricky parts on my skeletons. If there's any visible filler, it files and sands down nicely when it's dry.

Another problem is that some people prime their models on the sprue before assembly. This can cause the paint to interfere with the plastic glue bond.

+1 for using glue especially for polystyrene. Skellies should stick together fine - in fact, the usual problem is that the joint becomes stronger than the spindly limbs, making later changes difficult.
