I've been offered Roboute Guilliman from the new 40k Box for £30, while my friend pays the other £25 and gets the other two models Is what im paying fair? (i REALLY want guilliman and was planning to buy the entire box for £55 anyway)

I only want Guilliman and Cypher and i thought i casn save £25 atm (running a little low on cash atm as im a student) and pick up cypher when i have a little more cash spare
Otherwise it might just be worth actually getting the full box as i get 3 models for £55 instead of 1 for £30

Edit: Im also planning to do a conversion of guilliman into Lion El johnson as im a DA player, And i think thatll be quite costly to do

Well you're paying over half the cost of the box and getting 1/3 of the models.

Just because you don't want them now, doesn't mean you won't in the future.

Me personally, I would buy the whole box. I did that with the Triumvirate. I ended up building Celestine + Greyfax, and I traded Belasarius.

Thats not entirely true. He will be getting the majority of the sprues inside. That box is really guilliman + 2 side sprues.

IMO, the sole reason is that you ended up expressing your doubts here (AND mentioning a person, who you call "friend"), doesn't seem like you feel it's worth it

Just buy it off Wayland or Elementgames for 15-20% off. That's like 45 quid for three models. Sell the rest on ebay/fb trade groups for £15 each posted, and the Guilliman suddenly costs you £15. Even less, because Cypher is going for £20 on auctions.

I'm in a similar position, I really want Gulliman, but am not fussed about the others.

People on Facebook are selling him from between £28-30 posted, Cypher for around £20 posted and the GK for £18 posted.

I was tempted to go the Element Games route and just sell off the other 2 for cheap, as I'm not a fan of people buying boxes to split for profit.

I think there is. Your mileage may vary.

Well from what I've seen, the people doing the selling seem to have multiples of every character, so not really "selling what you don't want".

When I saw the guy selling Gulliman for £28 posted, I initially was like "too much money!" but then I did some sums (brace yourselves).

If you bought the box for £49 posted (independent retailer), and then sell the characters at the lower end of the price scale (from what I've seen) you get:

Gulliman: £28
Cypher: £18
GK dude (no idea what his name is! ): £18
TOTAL: £64 = £15 profit

When you take off what the guys pay for postage, there really isn't much of a mark up.

Now the guys trying to sell Cypher for £25+postage, that's another story!
