So minor spoiler

Rawbutt basically says, legions are back in business, and with the appearance of 20 man tac squads, of course only in mk 3 and 4, do you think 8th will go more toward 30k style space marines? 20 man squads, and what not?

To many unpainted models to count.

Where did you see this and why do you think they'd merge go to 20 man tac squads?...

That'd be interesting, but I don't think they'd restrict it to mk3 and 4 if that were the case.

I hope not. It's one of the unique things CSM can still do. SM don't need that.

And if so... give us our heavy and special weapons and the other stuff we're missing

Poor ignorant guardsmen, it be but one of many of the great miracles of the Emperor! The Emperor is magic, like Harry Potter, but more magic! A most real and true SPACE WIZARD! And for the last time... I'm not a space plumber.

Don't know where the OP got this, but I just happened to stumble onto the pre-orders part of the GW webstore, and they are going to sell the MK.3 and MK.4 Horus Heresy sets in Legion TAC squads containing 20 marines.

Even got its own PDF download (which seems to be in the FW style). Doesn't say a thing about 40k or 30k specifically, though. Justthe Horus Heresy branding as the sets are froma Horus Heresy boxed game originally.

I could swear the description of those had included "led by a hero from a bygone age" or something like that. Which sounded a lot like Guilliman was reinstating some of the older traditions. But either I'm a bit mad, or they've updated their description in the past few hours.

Edit: Actually I know they updated it, since it used to say "download the PDF for the rules for use in Age of Sigmar." or some such.

Anyways, wait and see.

the rules are pretty clearly those from the HH game rules. so I don't think they're returning to 40k

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

Mk III Marines are in a box of 10. The linked product is a bundle with no savings, just the way GW does bundles, if they are not in a special box.
The downloadable rules are for 30k.

Why if you can have a fething primarch for the price of a moderately kitted out 20-man tac squad?
