over the course of my Ork career, I've acquired quite a few tau models that I've incorporated into my greenskins and have now gotten to a point where I can run a decent army of looted tau all by themselves.
so far i have
a "Krisis Soot Kommanda" named Chazwee
5 or 6 regular crisis suits, half of which need to be converted still
12 or so gun drones
2 'Orktides' one with the burst cannon the other with the Ion gun
a devilfish transport

so far the plan is to use them as a Farsight army because of the lack of regular infantry, but i do eventually want to incorporate some pathfinders (grots with lasguns)and other units.

now then what i'm asking of you, Dakka, is how to properly load out my 'soots' to both be orky and aggressive enough to stand a chance on the battle field. i want character and the general style to outweigh the competitiveness for the sake of having fun playing against my group's tau player with his own toys.
for example, my Kommanda is going to be loaded with the Farsight fusion blades because he likes being in the thick of it (like any decent Ork).
thoughts? ideas that I can use? please and thank you.

Well you obviously have to have a Farsight equivalent.

A Morkanaut or some conversion thereof as a stand-in stormsurge would be cool. Another thing you could do would be synchronizing the loadouts of the crisis suits with the weapons of ork oddboys, I.e having a "burna boyz" unit with only flamers, a "tankbusta" unit with only anti-tank, and a "flash gits" unit with whatever weapons mimic the ridiculousness that is the dakkagun best.

Running an allied detachment of orks lets you add much more options, like putting orks riding the drones and running them as stormboyz, adding a KFF Mek overseeing his mechanical horde (KFF will protect the Tau IIRC because it affects all units in range).

With cyclic ion blasters.
You get 6 18" s7 ap4 shots per suit that can overcharge for 2 s8 ap4 blasts with gets hot each. Sounds Orky to me.

I already have some drone riders being used as stormboys! Aw man i should have put those in my initial list. Ive got a dozen or so of them.
