I'm currently looking for a good wash to use with my Pink Horrors that I'm trying to mass paint. I used the Krylon Bonnet Pink Chalky finish paint to base them. It turned out pretty good though they are a white pink so I'm not sure what color of wash I could use on them to help bring out the details in them without losing some of the base color. I had plans on drybrushing the Pink dry GW paint over them after to give them a quick highlight. Didn't want to spend much time on them as I need to paint 26ish (not to mention blue and brimstone horrors) and I'd rather make my Heralds and Lords of Change(s) look better instead. Any suggestions would be great!

For reference here is the color I used. Worked great for me!

I thin down Leviathan Purple with a bit of medium and it doesn't darken the pink too much while still getting the recesses. Then do all the drybrushing etc. to reestablish the brighter pink if you want.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

If you want the wash to change the general overall color less, I would recommend a coat of gloss varnish over the minis first. That chalky finish paint is not really going to let the wash settle in the recesses well. You can always go back over it with a matte finish afterwards.
